Li Yuhui graduated from Shandong University with a bachelor’s degree in financial engineering and after graduation worked for the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission mainly engaged in the supervision and management of large state-owned banks in China.
In 2021 she was awarded a Chevening Scholarship which she was unable to undertake due to Covid 19 but then moved to the UK to study for her MSc in Urban Economic Development at University College London graduating in 2023. She then returned to China to resume her job in banking.
Li Yuhui aspires to become an influential policymaker hoping to help build up the bridge for China-UK trading cooperation and policy in order to build a community with a shared future of mankind, and achieve a win-win situation.
